About Nepal
Nepal ist ein Binnenstaat in Südasien, zwischen China und Indien. Das Land hat etwa 30 Millionen Einwohner, die über 100 verschiedenen Volksgruppen angehören. Nepal gilt als das Geburtsland des Buddhismus. Heute haben etwa 80 % der Einwohner den Hinduismus als Religion, womit Nepal weltweit der Staat mit dem höchsten Anteil an Hindus ist. Bis 2008 war Nepal sogar der einzige Staat der Welt mit Hinduismus als Staatsreligion, seitdem ist es offiziell säkulär.
